Around this time of year we usually have one or more Kingfishers visiting Widewater and for the last few days, we have had a male Kingfisher sitting on our garden wall. We have also spotted him sitting in the Tamarisk trees east of the footbridge and I was lucky enough to take these photos of the little beauty.

Seeing the Kingfisher back at Widewater is a great signal of how well the lagoon has been returning to it’s former glory since our MP Tom Rutland, WoW Chair Gill Purnell and Lancing Parish Council got together with various other agencies involved to arrange for the speedy clearance of the Mitigation Pipe.
