It is with immense sadness that I am letting you know that Stanley, the long standing Widewater Swan passed peacefully away yesterday. Gina who has given him and his mate Hilda a wonderful retirement home found him on her lake. He hadn’t been ill and probably had a stroke or heart attack. Hilda has been with him so she will understand that he has gone but she will grieve for her life long mate of many years.Stanley is being buried on Saturday and Gina has kindly said that I can be there. I am heartbroken and I will miss him as I’m sure many others will too but I am also so grateful for all the years he was in my life and all the joy that he brought.
