At a recent WoW meeting we discussed the problem of The Magnificent Seven ducklings struggling to climb the steep bank on to their island at night so a special duck ramp was kindly made by Geoff Patmore ( thank you Geoff! ) and today Marion and Dave Hoggen and myself installed it on the island.

It was a bit of a challenge wading across the lagoon through the very thick black mud and uneven surface! Dave nearly lost his wellie when he sank into the mud – we thought we were going to lose Dave but Marion came to the rescue and dug him and his wellie out! We all ended up with very wet feet but the ramp is now in position and we hope it will help the ducklings safely on to the island. Well done Team Duck Ramp! Jo Procter
