Update on the Widewater injured Swan

Huge thanks to Billy Elliot from Wadars who impressively caught the elusive and very fiesty injured Swan at Widewater today. Billy took him to Grove Lodge vets for an X-ray which showed swelling around a joint but no fractures which is good news.

As he needs a course of medication over a few days I am taking him to the Swan sanctuary tomorrow where they have the facilities to keep him and he will receive the best care. When he’s ready I’ll bring him back home and hopefully reunite him with his mate.

Thanks to Emma , Russ, Katie and Ann and all neighbours who so kindly sent helpful messages about the Swan and offered access to their decks to rescue the Swan from. Thank you so much
