Today 18 February 2021 the bridge section of the new walkway across the Lagoon was lifted by a 120ft crane into position. This really is a ‘Red Letter Day’.

Discussions with WSCC for The Widewater Disabled Access Bridge have been ongoing since 2014. An amazing achievement for the the campaigners who have made this possible. It will still be a while until the bridge is opened officially, and hopefully it will be a day to celebrate in style.

It was good to see many residents (socially distancing) and watching the bridge being put in position.
