On 2nd May 2020 three beautiful little cygnets were hatched to our family of swans on the Widewater.
Very very sadly a couple of days later Mr Fox was seen in the swans nest and it looked like now only one cygnet survived. Nature at its worst.
However this little cygnet and its parents are doing well and have been staying on the island on the eastern end of the lagoon.
However, Trevor, last years cygnet still hasn’t flown away to join other Juveniles on the river. It will be interesting to see how long he stays – watch this space.
