The Environment Agency sent a company out to remove the shingle from the mitigation pipe with their specialist equipment rather than removing it manually.
I spoke to one of the workmen there early this morning.
The lagoon levels have recovered dramatically recently thanks to the cooler weather, high tides and some rain. There are still some dry patches at the outer edges but things are definitely improving.
