{"id":673,"date":"2018-02-24T10:30:33","date_gmt":"2018-02-24T10:30:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lancingwidewater.com\/?p=673"},"modified":"2018-02-24T10:32:37","modified_gmt":"2018-02-24T10:32:37","slug":"the-worlds-biggest-beach-clean","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lancingwidewater.com\/?p=673","title":{"rendered":"The Worlds Biggest Beach Clean"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div id=\"divtagdefaultwrapper\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<div class=\"\"><br class=\"\" \/><span class=\"contextualExtensionHighlight ms-font-color-themePrimary ms-border-color-themePrimary ident_263_460\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Georgina Stevens and a helper have organised a beach litter clearance on Sunday 4th March (meeting 9.45 at Widewater Car park, and 10.15 at the Old Fort)\u00a0which they are naming \u00a0\u201cThe Worlds Biggest Beach Clean&#8217;.<\/span>\u00a0Georgina\u00a0anticipates that there will be a large turn out including 150 Brownies.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Infinity\u00a0Foods and Higgity Foods are providing refreshments, also local companies\/shops are providing environmentally\u00a0friendly goodie bags. \u00a0 Georgina stated that the idea is gaining momentum and is becoming a very big affair with a few Celebrities attending.<br class=\"\" \/><br class=\"\" \/><span class=\"contextualExtensionHighlight ms-font-color-themePrimary ms-border-color-themePrimary ident_801_1029\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">The aim is that 1\/2 will start at the Widewater Lagoon and 1\/2 at the Old Fort, meeting at Beach Green for refreshments, all will be invited to make a giant whale from the rubbish collected and to spell out <strong>ACT NOW<\/strong> on the beach.<\/span>\u00a0The aim is that photos and video will be taken of the crowd and the whale, which will be uploaded to the web hopefully to go viral.
