On Tuesday this week, a group of 17 students and their teachers from Brighton College visited Widewater as part of the school\u2019s Make a Difference Day initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wow has been hosting this event for many years and as always, the students did a fantastic job! They cleared a section of invasive Ivy from the bank to keep it under control which will give the native plants a chance to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also painted the information board plinths ready for the Winter weather and painted the exterior woodwork of the Information Booth and interior walls. The WoW boat was weeded and had a coat of paint too and the area around it was cleared. The wording on the \u2018Dogs on Leads\u2019 sign was also painted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were lucky to have two talented artists in the group who created beautiful paintings of a Swan and a scene of the Rampion Wind farm on two window boards inside the Booth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are very grateful to the wonderful students and staff for all their hard work and it was a pleasure to spend the day with them. Thanks also to WoW members Marion Wood and Paula Baker who also joined us to help with the work and to WoW Committee for funding the materials used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All in all, much was achieved and it was a very enjoyable day. A big thanks to all involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
