Information from WSCC

‘High temperatures and low water at Widewater Lagoon, have reduced oxygen levels in the Lagoon. This has had an impact on fish living within the Lagoon, and unfortunately some of them are dying. This weather effect is also happening elsewhere and is not restricted to Widewater Lagoon. The high tides which are rising over the coming week / weekend should put more fresh sea water back into the Lagoon, and should improve the oxygen levels in doing so. The EA have been notified. The site will continue to be monitored throughout this period.’
