Had a word with the contractors working on the Mitigation pipes this morning. They said the pipes were almost unblocked now. Once they leave, the weir boards will be set to let sea water in on tides of 5.8 or more.
I asked about preventing the pipes blocking up in the future and they said that the EA were working on it. It’s good to see the water levels so quickly improved especially as the salinity will be diluted in time for the cygnets hatching.
Should be soon fingers crossed !
