Bugs: The Little Friends of Shoreham Beach

An invitation to WOW  and anyone interested
Friday 23rd November 2019

Graeme Lyons, ecologist, has done the first thorough survey of the invertebrates on the Shoreham Beach LNR which is one of the best areas of vegetated shingle in the county.

The survey was organised by the Friends of Shoreham Beach LNR (FoSB) and sponsored by the Rampion Fund at Sussex Community Foundation and Tesco bags.

He will speak about his survey and how the tiny invertebrates that live on the beach are vital to its health. The survey was full of surprises and included a plant bug never before recorded in West Sussex. He will advise re management of the LNR.

The lecture is open to everyone and is free and there will be refreshments available.
